Politicians and Paying Taxes

Published fredag 9 november 2007 kl 11.16
Prime Minister Reinfeldt questioned in parliament about his state secretary

A survey this week found 10 of the 15 state secretaries working for ministers from Sweden’s conservative Moderate Party, the largest of the four parties of the government coalition, had paid for household services without paying the required taxes.

This came after a series of revelations of similar acts by ministers and other leading party members. Nick Chipperfield asked Inger Arenander, political reporter for Swedish Radio News, how serious do Swedes themselves consider cheating the tax man?
