Healthcare Workers Strike
Some 2500 Swedish healthcare workers went on strike Monday after negotiations broke down Saturday between county and municipal employers and the Swedish Association of Healthcare Professionals.
The union is demanding a 14 percent wage increase over two years.
In order to protect patients a central committee is reviewing which of the nurses, midwives, biomedical researchers and radiographers will be allowed to strike.
At the moment, 1000 would-be strikers have been put on hold.
