Saving the Baltic Cod

Baltic cod

The future of the Baltic Sea is looking pretty bleak. A combination of illegal fishing and over-fishing has put cod in peril.

But the good news is that Swedish consumers and retailers are now stepping up to the plate to save this once common fish by refusing to buy or stock cod.

Such a move has led Norway, one of the biggest exporters of cod in the world, to go on a charm offensive here in Sweden to woo back their customers. Dave Russell has the story:
