Stockholm Water Prize 2008

The annual World Water Week is continuing in Stockholm with thousands of delegates discussing water scarcity and related problems.

This year’s winner of the prestigious Stockholm Water Prize says the lifestyle of the rich world wastes a lot of water and is advising people to develop more vegetarian eating habits. Professor Tony Allan of the University of London School of African and Oriental Studies has been described by the prize awarding committee as the innovator of the groundbreaking ”virtual water” concept.
