Reinfeldt Asks Obama for Environment Cooperation
Swedish prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has asked US President Barack Obama for America’s cooperation at the environment summit conference later this year in Copenhagen.
At this weekend’s Prague meeting of EU leaders with Obama the Swedish prime minister underlined the importance of global climate policy for the future of the planet.
Reinfeldt later told reporters that he might travel to Washington for further environment talks with the US administration. On the first of July Sweden takes over the presidency of the European Union for six months.
