File Sharing Law Has a Loophole

The Ipred-law, which went into effect on April 1st, seems to have a major loophole. The law allows the entertainment industry to obtain the Internet IP addresses of people it believes are illegally file-sharing.

But Swedish Radio reports that one Swedish Internet Service Provider does not save its customers’ IP-addresses, as there is nothing in the law here to require them to do so. (ah)
