Calm Rescue from Burning Swedish Ship
In a dramatic night-time rescue, 238 people have been evacuated from a burning ship in the harbor of the Swedish southeastern coastal city of Oscarshman.
The fire started in the ship’s engine room. No one was injured in what was described as a calm evacuation.
As many as 800 persons are sometimes housed aboard the ship used as a floating hotel for those working at the near-by nuclear power plant.
