Three Arrested at Protests
Protestors broke through police lines in the southern city of Malmö on Thursday to show their anger at a visit by the Iranian ambassador.
The Iranian government say the visit is to offer their fellow countrymen consular assistence. But many Iranian exile groups say that this is a cover for the real objective - to spy on political dissidents who have taken refuge in Sweden.
Three people were arrested during the protests, when attempts were made to stop the ambassador from entering the community centre that had been booked for the visit. The police now say that protests are expected to go on as long as the ambassador’ stays in town.
