Nation Brands Index

Sweden’s Popularity Decreases

Published onsdag 3 juni 2009 kl 17.01

Sweden’s popularity is decreasing, as figures of the latest Nation Brands Index show. The index ranks countries according to their international cultural reputation. Sweden has dropped one position from 9 to 10, after having topped the list in 2005.

Compared to their Nordic neighbours Sweden is still doing fine though – Norway, Denmark and Finland rank even worse in the annual index. The countries with the best cultural image are Germany, France and Britain. The whole Nation Brands Index will be published in the Swedish Institute’s annual report on Sweden’s international reputation. (ah)
