Election Unknown to One out of Four
One out of four Swedish voters does not know about the EU elections this Sunday. That’s according to a poll carried out by opinion research institute Synovate on behalf of daily Dagens Nyheter and weekly magazine Fokus.
Swedes aged younger than 30 with low education are the group with less knowledge about the elections – 30 percent of which are unaware that they can go to the polls on Sunday. Centre Party sympathizers also know little about the elections whereas Voters of the Green Party and the Christian Democrats are the groups which seem most informed. (ah)
