"Loyal Arrow"

Anti-NATO Groups Plan Sabotage

Published lördag 6 juni 2009 kl 11.49

Ahead of the military exercise of NATO in Northern Sweden on Monday several anti-military groups plan to sabotage the operation. Swedish Radio news reports that anti-military groups like the “OFOG” network intend to hold lessons on civil disobedience and on how to conduct acts of sabotage against some of the equipment NATO forces will be using.

But according to Luleå police these actions will not pose a severe threat to security. The situation is under control, says Peter Karlsson, head the police’s special unit during the military exercise. Around 50 war planes from 10 countries with a total of 2,000 soldiers will participate in the NATO manoeuvre “Loyal Arrow” in northern Sweden.
