Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt talking to voters and journalists in Stockholm Saturday

Politicians of all parties used the final day of the EU election campaign to convince voters to go to the polls on Sunday. In Stockholm conservative Moderate Foreign Minister Carl Bildt went on a public bike tour with his wife Anna Maria who candidates for one of Sweden’s 18 seats in the next EU parliament.

Social Democratic leader Mona Sahlin called on voters to vote. Otherwise, the Social Democrats might see a disappointing result on Sunday night, Sahlin added in the speech she held in the capital.

Leaders and EU top candidates of the other parties also took part in various campaign activities – with most of them taking place in Stockholm.
