More Swedes Need Debt Rescheduling

Published måndag 6 juli 2009 kl 10.39

A record number of Swedes apply to the enforcement service for help with debt rescheduling. So far this year over 3.100 have filed such an application. That is an increase with 8 % compared to last year, according to daily Dagens Nyheter.

More and more people also do get this help. Compared to the same period last year, 26 % more have started a process of debt rescheduling.

According to the enforcement service, this increase is due to a change in the law in 2007. The economic crisis will also add many applications, but this is not expected until next year.
