Miliband Optimistic About Copenhagen

British Energy Secretary Ed Miliband, in Sweden for the Åre meetings, says Britain opposes the carbon import tariffs against developing countries, to encourage them to take steps against global warming.
The US House of Representatives passed such a plan last month. Speaking to the AFP news agency in the northern Swedish city, Miliband says Britain is sceptical about using trade tariffs as a solution to climate change.
The British Energy Secretary told Swedish TV News Friday that he is looking forward to working closely with Sweden and Denmark in the months to come in order to come to an ambitious agreement at the UN climate talks in Copenhagen in December.
