Israel's Prime Minister has now joined in attacking the Swedish government over its stance on refusing to condemn an article in the Aftonbladet newspaper which claimed that Israeli soldiers killed Palestinians to sell their organs.

Accorording to AFP news wires, Benjamin Netanyahu is said to have told his cabinet ministers in a meeting that he was not asking Sweden to apologize for the article but he was seeking its condemnation.

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt who's scheduled to visit Israel inside the next fortnight has already rejected Israeli calls for an official condemnation.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry says that visit will still take place "There is no question of cancelling or delaying this visit, but it is clear that this incident will cast a worrying shadow over meetings if it is not resolved," Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said.

Israeli Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said" "The crisis will continue as long as the Swedish government doesn't change its attitude toward this anti-Semitic article. "Those who do not condemn it are not welcome in Israel."

The head of the Israeli Government Press Office, Daniel Seaman, said on Sunday he would not give accreditation to two of Aftonbladet's reporters for the Bildt trip.

The aftonbladet article implied that there was a link between charges of organ theft from Palestinians and the recent arrest in the U.S. of an American Jew suspected of illicit organ trafficking.
