Rosengård: Activists Chased Off by Locals
Malmö’s Rosengård district was the scene of new disturbances over the weekend. Members of the “Reclaim Rosengård” activist group who had planned to hold a street festival Saturday night were confronted by inhabitants of the immigrant-dense district and chased away. A spokeswoman for the municipal administration said that the people living in Rosengård had apparently become tired of the involvement of outside groups and wanted to set a stop to their activities.
Members of “Reclaim Rosengård” later clashed with police and threw stones and firebombs at patrol cars. There were no reports of injuries or arrests.
