Fuglesang Launch Delayed Again
Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang's second flight into space has been delayed yet again. Nasa scientists want to look further into the faulty fuel valve in the Space Shuttle Discovery, cancelling today's planned launch and rescheduling it to 11.59PM Eastern Standard time on Friday(5.59am Saturday morning Swedish time).
Fuglesang was originally due to take off on Tuesday but bad weather forced NASA to delay launch until Wednesday, only for a faulty fuel valve to cause yet another delay.
Experts say that if the shuttle isn't launched on Friday/Saturday, the next launch window isn't until October.
Writing on Twitter, Fuglesang said, "Wake up and read on present friends Twitter that no launch today either. Have to kill another 23h23m. But something fun one can always do."
