More Unemployed despite Growth

Published tisdag 1 september 2009 kl 12.54

The Swedish economy will see an upswing in the second half-year but the overall growth rate for 2009 will still be between minus 4.2 and 5 percent, the so called “Nordic Outlook” states.

The annual economic prognosis by Swedish banks SEB and Nordea also points out that the GDP will rise by up to 2.8 percent next year. Despite the expected growth rates for the economy, unemployment rates are likely to increase from around 8.5 percent this year to more than 10 percent in 2010.
