A forum for a global views exchange

Representatives of more than 130 countries and numerous organizations are currently discussing global issues at the European Development Days in Stockholm. As host of the three-day event the Minister for International Development Coordination, Gunilla Carlsson, expressed hopes for lively debates on the topics of democracy, economy, and climate.

She said that the three-day congress at Stockholm’s International Fairground Complex opened vast opportunities for exchanging views among experts on a global scale, even though no political decisions would be made. The congress with its roughly 6,000 participants is the largest event hosted by Sweden during the country’s six-month presidency of the European Union.
