As swine flu vaccinations continue nationwide, Swedish health authorities are receiving a rising number of complaints about side effects. And the number of new cases of the infection has set a record.

A spokesperson for the Medical Products Agency says that most of the reactions to the vaccine described lesser problems like muscle aches, shivers, and headaches. In some cases patients have reported allergic reactions.

The Medical Products Agency says no serious side effects have been observed so far.

Meanwhile, the Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control reports that there were 198 new cases of swine flu here last week, twice as many as the week before. Most of those infected so far have been school children.
