Competition Authority Fines Aviation Board

No cab in sight

The Swedish Aviation Board has been fined for violating the fair trade law. The National Competition Authority ordered the board to pay 125,000 dollars for discriminating against small-time taxi cab operators.

The Aviation Board had planned to reserve the most frequented cab lanes at Stockholm’s Arlanda airport for the capital’s three largest taxi companies. Several private operators had complained to the Competition Authority who decided in their favor.
