Jan Guillou Admits KGB Contacts

Published lördag 24 oktober 2009 kl 10.47
Author and journalist Jan Guillou

Swedish author Jan Guillou has admitted contacts with the former Soviet Union’s secret service KGB. Guillou confirmed a report by tabloid Expressen, saying that he had met Soviet agents over a period of five years, starting 1967.

Expressen named files from the Swedish security police SÄPO as its source. Guillou claims that he had wanted to use the ties with the KGB to expose Soviet espionage activities in Sweden and that he never revealed any secrets to his contacts.
