Sweden's well known author and journalist Jan Guillou was uncovered over the weekend by the tabloid expressen as an informant for the KGB operating back in the days of the cold war.

The paper claims that amongst the 65 year old's tasks was to report back on the attitudes and approach of Sweden's ruling Social Democrats towards the Vietnam war. Guillou says his real motivation was to unearth how far the Soviets had infiltrated Swedish society.

Radio Sweden's Dave Russell spoke to the Editor in Chief of Expressen, Thomas Mattsson.
