Söderling Misses Out on ATP Tour Finals

Published lördag 14 november 2009 kl 12.14
It's been a fantastic year for Söderling

Sweden's Robin Söderling has enjoyed the best tennis of his career this season but on Friday there was disappointment as he missed out on playing in the season ending prestigious ATP tour finals in London which features the top eight players in the world.

Söderling, who reached a Grand slam final the last time he played in Paris in June, needed to reach the final of the Paris Masters if he was to have enough points to qualify for the end of season tour finals in London.

However, the Swede went down fighting in three sets in his quarter-final match against World number three Novak Djokovic. (6-4 1-6 6-3)

The 25 year old said however that he was delighted with his form this year and plans to improve his game further next season.
