15 Year Old Questioned Over Gothenburg Sex Attacks

Published lördag 14 november 2009 kl 16.30

A 15 year old boy suspected of a number of rapes and sexual assualts on women in Gothenburg was interviewed by police on Saturday.

The boy was arrested on Friday and shortly afterwards police called a press conference to tell about the arrest and calm frightened women in the West coast city.

Police say they have strong evidence connecting the boy to two rapes, two attempted rapes and two cases of sexual assault. At the police press conference, detectives said they believed their suspect to be behind many more attacks.

The first attack took place in August and the last around a week ago. The suspect often chose his victims by randomly knocking on apartment doors.

Prosecutors have until 12 o'clock on Monday to charge the boy or release him.
