Better Than Expected for Sony Ericsson

Published fredag 22 januari 2010 kl 08.50
Not selling as well as hoped

The Swedish-Japanese mobile phone manufacturer Sony Ericsson has posted a loss before taxes of 190 million euros for last year’s fourth quarter.

But that’s a significant improvement over the same period the year before, when the company’s losses reached 261 million euros.

The loss was also better than expected by analysts.

However, Sony Ericsson failed in its hopes to regain the position as the world’s third largest maker of mobile phones. According to Swedish Radio News, it’s now fallen to fifth place.
