Man Shot Dead in Central Malmö

A 26-year-old man was shot dead in Malmö in southern Sweden in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The man was alive when the ambulance arrived, but died shortly after being brought to hospital. According to TV4 news, there were several witnesses to the shooting, which took place outside a hamburger restaurant in central Malmö.

Several shots were heard, according to the news agency TT.

The man was already known to the police and lived in Malmö. "He is known to have been involved in criminal circles, but we cannot comment on which ones for now," police spokesman Mikael Persson told TT.
