Roof Collapses on Class at Riding School
The roof of a riding school outside Uddevalla in the west of Sweden collapsed during a lesson on Tuesday evening.
TT reports that nine people were in the building at the time , seven children, an instructor and one parent. The children and horses had to be dug out from the heavy snow which had forced the roof of Björkbäck riding school to cave in. Reports suggest that the lighting went off at the same time and the search was carried out in the dark.
According to the police, two of the girls have been injured, one with a broken arm, the other received a neck injury. The children were aged between 10-15 years of age. Several parents watching from the school's small cafe rushed to help. Police and ambulance crews were called shortly after 7.20 pm.
