Expulsion despite Fatal Illness?

Published tisdag 23 mars 2010 kl 10.37
Sweden's Migration Board

The Migration Board has come under fire for its decision to expel a fatally ill girl to Lebanon. The two-year-old girl suffers from a rare condition which makes it impossible for her body to digest food. At present, she weighs five kilograms.

Despite the girl’s critical condition the Migration Board has announced it is determined to carry out the expulsion which was decided upon last year. But according to a report by the local newspaper Nerikes Allehanda the authority has now signalized it would consider another adjournment of the expulsion if the girl proves to be as ill as reported by the media.
