hospital sabotage

Thousands at Risk

Published torsdag 3 juni 2010 kl 19.30

Staff suspect sabotage at Uppsala University Hospital after holes were found in the packaging of surgical items. Operations Manager Rainer Dörenberg says that 'it is very serious, you'd have to be sick to do such a thing.' The tiny holes are almost invisible, but render the sterile equipment capable of passing on serious infections.

A similar case of suspected sabotage last year ceased suddenly when it was investigated. Now the latest incidents have been reported to the police.
