Swedes Smoke Least in All of EU
Swedes smoke the least in all of Europe, according to new statistics released by the EU. Finns smoke second-least, while Greeks, Bulgarians, Hungarians, and Turks top the list.
Sweden's low smoking rate is undoubtedly linked to the country's predeliction for snus, a moist steam-cured tobacco product kept under the lip, often in a small pouch. A fourth of all Swedish smokers have used snus in an attempt to stop smoking, Swedish Radio News writes.
Sixteen percent of Swedes smoke, compared to 40 percent of Greeks.
