Hospitals to be Inspected
The Swedish Work Environment Authority will undertake an inspection of all of Sweden's hospitals offering emergency care. This comes after prolongued bouts with problems such as bed shortages. Håkan Olsson, head of the Work Environment Authority, told Swedish Radio News that emergency room staff have been affected by stress, stress-related injuries and other illnesses. Some 200 inspections will be carried out with the cooperation of the National Board of Health and Welfare.
