Refugee Family Must Return to Gaza
A family who had sought asylum in Sweden is being sent back to Gaza, despite new regulations set by the Swedish Migration Board in April. According to Swedish Radio News, the new rules stated that children shouldn't be sent back to Gaza because of the poor humanitarian conditions there. But this family, who fled from Gaza two years ago, has found out that they will now be sent back, despite the fact that they have a sick, eight-month-old daughter.
Sweden's Migration Court made the decision to send them back before the new rules went into effect, and that decision takes precedence over the Migration Board's own new guidelines.
