What Issues Do Voters Care About?

Published lördag 12 juni 2010 kl 10.21
Employment: the most important issue

According to a new poll, as September’s elections approach, Swedish voters want to hear more about jobs, healthcare, and education.

But, analyst Nicklas Källebring of Synovate, which conducted the survey, tells “Dagens Nyheter” that voters won’t be satisfied with talk. They also demand ideas that touch people and can make a difference.

Synovate asked Swedes: “Which issues are the most important for you when you choose a party to vote for?”

Thirty percent answered unemployment/employment, 26 percent healthcare, and 24 percent education and schools.
