Damages Demanded for School Fire
An insurance company is demanding more than 3 million dollars from two 16 year olds, after they burned down the Hovsjöskolan school in Södertälje, south of Stockholm, last year.
Claes Hjalmarsson of the Trygg Hansa company tells the newspaper “Dagens Nyheter” that they want the teens to understand that there is a cost to setting fire to a school. But he also says that the chances of collecting from the two is slight.
Sweden has seen a rash of arson attacks on schools in recent years.
