Follow The Wedding Events All Day
Tourists, Stockholmers and visitors have flocked to the capital for today's events, which begin in the mid-afternoon with the wedding ceremony in Stockholm's Cathedral, followed by a cortege around the centre of the city. During the evening the guests will gather at Stockhom Palace for the traditional wedding reception and disco.
Here are the key times(CET):
15.30: Wedding Ceremony in Stockholm Cathedral in the Old Town with around 1 200 guests. Broadcast live via TV, radio and the internet.
15:49: The couple say "I do".
16.40: Cortege through the streets of Stockholm by horse-drawn open carriage and the royal barge "Vasaordern". The procession route is 6.8km long, the procession itself will be around 400 metres long.
17.40: The Royal Couple arrive back at the Royal Palace followng the cortege.
18.00: The Royal Couple to appear on the palace's balcony, and serenaded by choirs.
c:a 19.00: The wedding reception at the Royal Palace begins. The secret menu will be revealed, and speeches held by the King and Daniel's father Olle Westling.
c:a 22.00: Time to cut the wedding cake. The wedding disco begins, with performances by artists such as Roxette, Carola and Cotton Club, according to rumours.
