Young Lives Saved Through Mammography

Published torsdag 30 september 2010 kl 15.16

Mammography can be a useful weapon against breast cancer in younger women, according to a groundbreaking Swedish study, published in the magazine Cancer.

Mortality rates among women aged between 40 and 49 fell by almost a third among those that had been screened.

Sweden's health authorities are obliged by law to offer mammography to all women over 40.
