Sven-Göran Eriksson (center) is now managing Leicester

Former England soccer coach Sven-Göran Eriksson was appointed manager of the English second-tier club Leicester on Sunday.

The 62 year old Swede attended Leicester’s 3-1 win over Scunthorpe on Saturday before signing a reported two year deal with the club. Eriksson led England to the quarter finals of the 2002 and 2006 World Cups, then managed Manchester City in the English Premier League in 2007–2008.

He coached the Mexican national team in 2008–2009, and has been out of work since leading Ivory Coast at this year’s World Cup.
