Concern over Left-Green cooperation with Sweden Democrats

Published torsdag 14 oktober 2010 kl 10.20
Jimmie Åkesson, leader of the Sweden Democrats

Despite the rhetoric that their party leaders have directed against the Sweden Democrats, local politicians in the Left and Green parties have decided to cooperate with the far-right party, according to the Finnveden Nu paper.

Vänamo, in southern Sweden, will see the three parties work together in order to get places in the municipal committees and boards

According to city council member Svante Olson, of the Left party, "This has nothing to do with political cooperation."

However the party's secretary, Anki Ahlsen, is concerned over the local party's plans and strongly recommends that they no not work with the Sweden Democrats.
