An even younger Anton Abele, speaking at an anti-violence demo in 2007

An 18-year old from the conservative Moderate party has become Sweden's youngest ever member of parliament.

Since Anna König has moved onto Stockholm's city council to take charge of social affairs, her place in the Riksdag will be taken by Anton Abele, who is on the fifth place in the Moderates' party list.

The new member of parliament has been involved in the Moderates' youth wing, and has also been active in campaigning against street violence.
