Gunfire at training group
Swedish troops in Afghanistan were attacked yet again on Tuesday.
Mattias Robertsson at the Swedish military tells radio news that shots were fired at a group of Afghan and Swedish soldiers.
The two Swedes were taking part in so-called Operational Mentor and Liason Team training, where foreign soldiers train the Afghan army.
No one was reported injured in the attack.
Swedish military spokesman Johannes Hellqvist says to news agency TT that the attackers were driven off by a "show of force" by calling in air support. He also adds that he doesn't think the attack was directed at the Swedes in particular.
Mattias Robertsson also says that the recent surge in the number of attacks on Swedish troops is due to the fact that they have taken part in more operations, and made more patrols, than at other times.
