All day and all of the night
Doctors in a northern hospital were working 24 hours for weeks at a time during the summer.
Now the Swedish Medical Association local branch is filing a complaint with the government authority for the work environment - the association says that these working conditions threaten patient safety.
The six doctors were working via an employment agency at Gällivare hospital. They worked during the day and were on call during the night - one for as long as a month.
