Two women were wounded Thursday night

Concern continues in Malmö in southern Sweden after new shootings at people with immigrant backgrounds. Thursday night someone fired through a window at two women in a Malmö apartment.

One is waiting for an operation after being hit in the hand, the other was wounded in the back but has left the hospital.

Police believe there’s a connection with as many as 15 other recent shootings in the area. One resulted in a death.

At a press conference in Malmö Friday morning, the police warned about a fake SMS purporting to come from the authorities advising residents to stay indoors.

The Malmö police say they have the resources they need to track down those responsible.
