New Foreign Mnister Jan Eliasson Meets His Norwegian Counterpart

Jan Eliasson, president of the United Nations General Assembly, takes over as Sweden’s Foreign Minister Monday.

His first act is to welcome Norwegian counterpart Jonas Gahr Störe, who arrived in Stockholm Monday for talks on what are described regional and international issues, including conflict management.

The Norwegian visitor suggests putting the northerly Barents Sea in the focus of a brand new energy zone and in the process providing an economic boom for all countries in the region. Jonas Gahr Stör explained just what he means to our reporter Bill Schiller:
