Demonstration for the Pirate Bay in Stockholm Saturday

The Swedish government’s website crashed this past weekend in what officals believe was a calculated protest against last weeks raid on the Pirate Bay file-sharing site.

The incident is now being investigated by the the Swedish police. Juan Navas spoke to government information officer Hanna Brogren:

The Pirate Bay, which has returned from a server apparently outside Sweden, has criticised the attack on the government and police websites as destructive to the Internet.  Meanwhile, Swedish Justice Minister Thomas Bodström has denied press reports the crackdown followed pressure from the American government.
