"Liberalgate" Scandal Grows: Party Secretary Resigns

The party secretary of the opposition Liberal Party has resigned, in connection with the scandal over unauthorized access to the rival Social Democrat party’s internal computer network.

Our reporter Bill Schiller has more details on the story and looks at the political ramifications of this scandal, coming so close to the election:

There’s been speculation here that the Social Democrats knew about the snooping for months but sat on that information, choosing to release it when it would be most beneficial to the party. Juan Navas asked Fredrik Kornebäck, a press secretary for the Social Democrat Party, about the speculation and whether or not it was true:
