Major General Endangered National Security

Published fredag 29 september 2006 kl 14.33

Swedish Television news claims that a Swedish major general now in jail for wife-battering was a security risk for men under his command in Sweden and in foreign operations.

The report adds that it took the military at least 3 months before reacting to the dangers.

The man is one of the highest military officers ever under suspicion here. A search of the man’s home revealed secret and  illegally-copied documents.

According to the report, an investigation has uncovered both the man’s chaotic economy and secret sexual contacts with masochists and those involved in group sex made him an easy mark for potential blackmailers.

The officer headed Swedish military operations in a number of countries including Kosovo. A military ruling is expected next month to decide if the now suspended officer is to be expelled from the service.
