Volvo Truck Sales Peak
Vehicle deliveries from Volvo Trucks rose 3 percent between January and October.
The world’s number two truck maker says the increase was due to strong demand before new emissions rules went into effect in Europe and North America. Volvo delivered just over 180,000 trucks during the first 10 months of the year.
But analysts are predicting a sharp fall in sales once the spending spree on older trucks comes to an end. Volvo says North American sales could fall by as much as 40 percent during the first half of 2007.
