New Law to Compensate Abused Pupil

For the first time, a Swedish court is to rule on how much damages a pupil should have from the local government because of abuses from a teacher.

This is the first such application of the new law protecting a child from harassment at school.

An angry substitute teacher lost control when the youngster was playing with a vacuum cleaner, pushed the boy’s face agaisnt a desk and stuck the sucktion tube in his mouth.
