Triple murderer caught after another prison escape

A Finn who killed 3 members of the same family in northern Sweden has been captured after escaping from a prison earlier this week.

Juha Valjakkala was serving a life sentence after the killings in 1988, and it is thought he crept through a window to get out of a relatively open jail, in his native Finland, on Monday night.

Police in Sweden also started a search for him, after he made his way to this country following a previous escape.

He was captured on Thursday evening in a flat in Helsinki. Officers say they smashed down the apartment door but after that Valjakkala did not try to resist arrest.
